To be shaded is to be partially hidden, partially revealed. These pieces explore the body's relationship to threshold — the liminal space where presence and absence meet, where a form begins to dissolve into its surroundings.
The natural ash glaze responds to the kiln's atmosphere, creating surfaces that are never fully predictable — surfaces that carry the memory of fire and air.
